What’s a Registered Nutritional Therapist?

At Perfect Resonance, you work with a professional Registered Nutritional Therapist. This means counselling is based on the best available scientific knowledge.

As a highly trained professional, an RNT has achieved superior academic standing from an approved school or by training deemed equivalent by the Board of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners (

RNTs work with individuals and groups to build and maintain nutritional well-being. Such counsel may include:

  • Recommending food selection, preparation and combinations
  • Recommending food supplements (vitamins, minerals, enzymes, glandular concentrates, proteins, essential fatty acids)
  • How to improve various lifestyle choices
  • Educating clients about the benefits of a sound nutritional program to encourage the body to heal itself.
  • Evaluation of their client’s food intake, usually over a given week. Particular attention is paid to the proportions of protein, fat, starches, sugars and fibre consumed.
