Manage Weight

Over the last 50 years or so, we’ve seen a huge increase in the sale of exercise equipment and gym memberships, weight-loss programs, low-fat foods and calorie-reduced foods. Despite all of this, we are seeing a weight epidemic now like never before.

Why is this happening? Because when it comes to weight loss, we’ve got it all wrong.

Most weight loss programs work over the short-term, but when you follow-up with people 6 months, 1 year or 2 years later, the statistics show that 95% of them have put back on all their weight and then some. This is because many of these programs hold on to the ill-fated belief that the easiest and best way to lose weight is to decrease calories by following a fat-and-calorie-restricted diet.

New research shows that this approach is ineffective. I know. I’ve been there.

A New & Better Approach

Testimonial

I met Anna almost 4 years ago, and I can say that it is the best thing that could have happened to me. I was very sick; hormones were very low, high blood pressure, very tired and with almost no quality of life.

Slowly, under Anna’s guidance and treatments I got better. She gave advice on foods, supplements, and treatments that helped me regain my energy. I can say that the most beneficial treatment was the BioEnergetic Evaluation, an amazing tool that pinpointed weak spots in my system. CranioSacral Therapy was another treatment that helped me enormously, releasing blockages and promoting body relaxation.

Thank you Anna for helping me to be healthy again !!!

What you don`t often hear is that it`s not just how much you eat, but what, how, and when you eat.

The weight management approach that you’ll learn about through consultations at Perfect Resonance is not about ‘going on a diet’. In fact, I would like to eliminate that nasty four letter word from our vocabulary as it usually conjures up images of starvation and deprivation, which is completely unappealing and likely unhealthy.

In fact, I’d like to point out an interesting little fact about the word DIET. It comes from the Greek word `diata`, which means a “manner or way of living”. I find that definition very appropriate, as successful, healthy long-term weight mangement requires an adjustment to more than just what we put into our mouths. It’s about following a certain “manner of living”—not just with our food, but with other parts of our life—that will promote weight loss and good health.

Overcome the 3 Major Road Blocks

More and more studies are identifying three major road blocks to weight management. These are:

  • hormonal imbalances (including the stress hormone cortisol and the sugar-balancing/fat-storing hormone insulin),
  • neurotransmitter imbalances (these are chemicals that affect our mood, sleep, behaviour, cravings, etc), and
  • hidden food sensitivities.

A Holistic Approach & Focus on Healthier Eating

My philosophy is to simply focus on healthier eating. You’ll start to feel great and let go of the weight! Not only will this manner or way of living help you to lose and manage weight, but other potential benefits my clients have reported include increased energy, improved sleep, lower blood pressure, improved digestion, and in some cases, even a decrease in medications…just to name a few.

Anyone interested in that?

My philosophy of weight management is holistic in nature, addressing the whole person. It is not a quick fix and it doesn’t focus on getting the numbers on the scale to go down fast. It’s about focusing on improving our overall health, with successful, long-term weight loss as a pleasant side-effect.
